Top Gun Team Challenge 2022

Fasten your seatbelts, folks. The Top Gun Team Challenge is about to take off.

After a forced hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, OMEGA is proud to bring back its signature event, the Top Gun Team Challenge. The invitational meet is set for February 10 to 13, 2022, at its new home in Hillsboro, OR’s Wingspan Event and Conference Center.

This year’s competition is open to men’s and women’s gymnastics teams throughout the region. The events cover Levels 2-10 and Xcel for women, and Levels 3-10 and Xcel for men.

To make the event possible, OMEGA has partnered with Woodward West Camp, MEFI Designs, Wallace Photography, Sportscope, and Quatro.

Top Gun Team Challenge 2022 aims to be a Covid-safe event.

Throughout the Top Gun Team Challenge, OMEGA will adhere to state-mandated safety protocols. This is to keep athletes, coaches, spectators, and other participants safe from Covid-19 during the event.

These protocols include:

  • Cleaning the facility in between sessions throughout the day.
  • Providing hand sanitation stations throughout the facility.
  • Barring entry of participants with Covid-19 symptoms, diagnosed with Covid-19 and haven’t yet recovered, or in contact with a confirmed or possible Covid-19 case within 14 days before the event.
  • Mandatory mask-wearing and physical distancing while within the facility.

OMEGA may limit spectator viewing depending on local guidelines for indoor gatherings currently in place. For offsite spectators, the competition will be streamed via Sportscope Live.
