For the last two years, OMEGA has been partnered with Spectra Gymnastics, a special needs gymnastics program. The program's founder, Karissa Johnson has been teaching specialized gymnastics classes for over 6 years in the Portland-Metro area and currently works as an ABA therapist in Portland.
Sula Willson, co-teacher with Karissa, began teaching gymnastics classes in the spring of 2013. She is also an ABA Therapist in Portland.
Both instructors specialize in teaching students living with various learning challenges including Autism, ADHD, PDD, SPD, OCD and much more! They also offer extensive experience teaching Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking curriculum which is incorporated into their current classes.
Classes are structured by loose age brackets and each student is individually placed into classes after an initial skill evaluation. Although the students are all working towards gymnastics skills, the primary teaching emphasis is based on developing social skills and inner confidence.
The Spectra Gymnastics program is currently taking on new students, however space is very limited! For more program information please contact Karissa Johnson via email or 503.754.9794.
A Chiropractic veteran, Dr. Bryen Bell has been in private practice for just under 15 years, taking care of the children and families in Beverly Hills and Brentwood, CA. His state of the art wellness facility, known as True Potential Chiropractic, is now located in Beaverton, Oregon. He is currently OMEGA's Official Team Chiropractor and his office is conveniently located in the Parkside Business Center.
Dr. Bell is not your average Chiropractor and is no stranger to professional athletes. He is currently the Team Doctor for Portland's only professional football venue, the Portland Thunder of the AFL. While practicing in Southern California he took care of many top-named celebrities, professional/amateur athletes and served as the Team Doctor to Los Angeles' two professional football programs, two college teams, a world-famous marching band and three amateur/club teams. He is currently the Co-Owner and Clinic Director along with his wife, Dr. Alithea Corter at True Potential Chiropractic, Beaverton. They practice a very unique style of family chiropractic called "corrective care" which enables them to correct the problem instead of chasing the symptoms. Corrective care chiropractic utilizes x-rays and nerve scans biomarkers to compare before and after treatment results (that you get to keep for the rest of your life). Aside from pro athletes, Dr. Bell and Dr. Corter also specialize in taking care of families, children and parents! Their fully computerized, family Wellness Center enables them to locate and detect subluxation (nerve interference) in adults and children.
Look them up on the web or call (503) 574-4TPC and mention "OMEGA Gymnastics".
